Dark Peak is a user-run co-operative providing hosted open-source software for the benefit of our members.
We each want better control over what we share online and how our data is used, so we founded an organisation democratically run and owned by its users. By sharing resources and expertise, our volunteers aim to provide convenient alternatives that put you back in control.
- Data with representation
- Promote the dignity of data ownership
- Provide the freedom to host some or all services yourself
- Federate and interoperate where possible
We currently provide our members with:
- RSS Reader docs
- Git Repository Hosting docs
- Git Pages Static Web Hosting docs
- Calendar sync docs
- Contacts sync docs
- IRC Bouncer docs
- Microblogging (fediverse)
- This Wiki docs
- Task Tracker docs
- Identity provider docs
The Task Tracker shows what we're working on right now. Members are encouraged to help us Develop and Improve Services that are Useful to multiple Members, match our Principles and don't require unreasonable resources.
The services are defined in our Services Git Repo
We hold Co-Op days on the second Saturday of the month. At these we help members set up and use our services, develop and deploy new ones and discuss how to run the co-op. Once a year we hold an AGM to agree our Budget and organize ourselves.
We are a member of Co-operatives UK
