We're still working on basic services. Membership is currently recommended for people wanting to help develop and test services, or those looking to support the project.

If you'd like to follow our progress in the meantime, you're welcome to join the mailing-list, come chat with us on #darkpeak on Freenode IRC, or attend one of our meetings in person.

Process

If you'd like to join the co-operative please add yourself to the mailing-list and introduce yourself. One of the Board will be happy to help you get set-up. They will need to know :

  • Your name
  • An address for you - email is the most common
  • What user name you want

They will also provide you the account details to make your payments into. Either make a single payment to cover you to the next AGM or set up a standing order to pay the fee monthly.

On receipt of your first payment your account will be created with a one use password. Use our ID server to set a permanent one. Once that's done you'll have full access to all our services and be able to help setup new ones.

N.B. Currently the ID server has a self signed certificate, this is a known issue we're working to resolve.

Fees

Membership fees are discussed at our annual general meeting, and voted on by members.

New members pay 5 GBP / month which contributes to our Running Costs.

We're willing to accept equivalent payments in other currencies, which we recommend paying annually to limit transaction charges.
